PLEASE HELP! i've got a great pc: Manufacturer: HP Pavilion 061 Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3700+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz Memory: 1022MB RAM Hard Drive: 243 GB or 250 GB XD Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor Sound Card: Realtek AC97 Audio Speakers/Headphones: labtec Keyboard: USB Root Hub Mouse: USB Root Hub Mouse Surface: optical Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) The settings are on pratically on lowest and it still goes really slow! It's on 800x600 resolution.

Low framerate implies lack of direct rendering. FlightGear utilizes OpenGL and not DirectX, so please make sure the former is setup correctly.

how do you do that? it goes fast if i turn all of the rendering options off.

It goes fast probably because DirectX was in fact slowing it down, it being the wrong graphics library and all.Get your video card CD and read the manual, then try this:http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/opengl.php
