updated F-4N

Featured Replies

I have a newer F-4N package at my hangar: http://home.comcast.net/~davidculp2/hangar/hangar.htmlIt includes a new refueling arm switch, so you can do dry refueling if you like. It also has a fuel dump switch, which will dump down to a standpipe level of 4000 pounds.I also included an alternate model, in the directory F4N/Models/AI. This is a very low-poly, untextured model that you can use during multiplayer sessions to prevent others from crushing your frame rates by logging on with the F4N (I don't know if the F4N actually does this, but I know some others do, so I'm taking precautions). For instance, I got tired of seeing my frame rates crushed when someone logged in with the Concorde, so I made a low-poly, untextured replacement model for it. I think all modellers could do this as a service to multiplayer users.BTW, I'll send the AI Concorde to you if you ask, or maybe I'll make a package of alternative models for some of the problem airplanes.

Here's a screenshot of the replacement model I'm using for the Concorde when it appears in MP or AI. This is as basic as you'd want to get, and could use a bit of texture. Maybe a 256x256 texture would suffice. With this model (and its associated wrapper file devoid of animations and included models) I get no frame rate hit.link: home.comcast.net/~davidculp2/AI-Concorde.jpg
