May 5, 200719 yr Hi, I just started using FlightGear, and I think its great. However, I haven't found a way to save a flight setup. I've tried cutting and pasting the command line input from fgrun.exe into a batch file, but can't make it work. Does anyone know a way to save flights?thanks,Chris
May 5, 200719 yr You can add options in your system.fgfsrc file (should be in your data dir). Then you can make a set of those files and copy one of them to system.fgfsrc before launching fgfs.Harald.
May 5, 200719 yr Harald,Thanks. I'm having trouble running fgfs.exe without running it through fgrun. I set up a batch file to set the environment, as described in the documentation, but when I try to run fgfs I get this error:Base package check failed ... Found version [none] at: "c:Program FilesFlightGeardata"Please upgrade to version: 0.9.10Any idea why this is happening?thanks,Chris
May 9, 200719 yr Harald,The quotes are from the error message in the cmd prompt. BTW, I found an ascii file named 'version' in the data dir that simply contains "0.9.10" (witout quotes). Should I try deleting or moving that file?thanks,Chris
May 10, 200719 yr No really, the error message does not add quotes. The version file you found is the good one, so the path you gave is wrong.Harald.
May 10, 200719 yr Ok, now I see it. I was setting the environment as recommended in the getstart guide:SET FG_HOME="c:Program FilesFlightGear"SET FG_ROOT="c:Program FilesFlightGeardata"SET FG_SCENERY="c:Program FilesFlightGeardataScenery";"c:Program FilesFlightGeardataWorldScenery"I tried without the quotes and it works. I guess the documentation is a little out of date.Thanks!--Chris
