help viewing source code and 6 dof model

hello evryone..im realtively new to flight gear...but have been loving it ever since i installed iti am running FG in windows and would like to view the source code..can any one help the fg manual was to a degree difficult to understand! also does anyone have notes one how to arrive at a the 6 dof model of an aircraft!

It depends on which flight dynamics model (FDM) you are using. Most aircraft models use either the Yasim FDM or the JSBSim FDM. The Yasim FDM is integral to FlightGear and the source is located in the /source/src/FDM/YASim directory. The JSBSim FDM is an independent project ( see http://jsbsim.sourceforge.net/ ) and FlightGear uses a snapshot of JSBSim which can be found in the /source/src/FDM/JSBSim directory.
