Color Bleed Thru?

Featured Replies

Hope u paint guru's can lend a hand. I'm new to repaints and know just enough to get myself into trouble. The picture is a C130 I just painted..note the blue bleed thru at the texture seam on the top of the fuselage (I assume this is from the blue fuselage belly stripe). What causes this & how does one correct it? Appreciate any help.Tks Joe Thttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/82882.jpg

try the bottom pixels of the belly white :)

Hi JoeThe bleed through at the top of the fuselage is more than likely related to the background colour that the paint kit has. Try extending the top of your fuselage painting by a few pixels - say five or six - just paint a line of that width and I think your problem will be resolved.CheersMike

The bottom of one side is overlapping the top of the other side. The right and left halves are above and below each other on the templates. I see this all the time. Trim a bit of the blue off of the bottom of the upper (on the template) fuselage. Edit: And while we are here, get rid of the mips, it is making your textures blurry. If you are using Imagetool stop. Download DXTBmp and use it instead.Ed Knapp
