Overlaying problem

Featured Replies

Hi to all, lets see if I can explain my problem well.I'm doing a repaint wich consists basicly in a front to back strip (rectangle shape) and the text identifying the Club. What I want to do is put a small part of the text over the rectangle shape substracting the overlaid part from the rectangle shape, showing the background. Is it possible?ThanksJorge Antunes

I forgot to mention I'm using Photoshop CS.Jorge Antunes

Hi again,I'm posting the situation that i'm trying to describe. What I want is that the part were the text and the bue box are on top of each other appears the white/grey color that's behind them.I'm sure that's somekind of effect but I can't figure out which one. Thanks,Jorge Antuneshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/85778.jpg

Hi,I am not sure I understand totally, but, are you trying to get the text to "contrast" with the background?, i.e. blue text on white and white text on blue?If this is the case, I would do it like this.Create 2 instances of the text, on seperate layers, 1 blue, 1 white/grey, position both of them in the right place, then just put a selection box round the part of each colour of text you want to remove and delete, the top part of the white/grey text, and the bottom part of the blue text.If this is not the case, then please explain again ;)CheersDan.
