September 6, 200421 yr Hi,I would like to repaint Rick Piper's Chipmunk into some basic colours. I have managed to get the basic's sorted but can't work out how I get the layers separtated so I can add the panel outlines and rivets so I can transfer them onto my repaint.Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks Ron
September 7, 200421 yr Hi Ron,Firstly, I am not familiar with Rick's paintkit for this model, but I can try to help none the less.Does the paintkit contain layers?, if so, then this makes life easier for you, all you need to do is find out which layer the "details" are on, then add a new layer UNDER the details and this is then your paint layer. If the paintkit does not contain layers, then it is only slightly more tricky, what you need to do in this case is create a new layer on top of the base layer, call it your paint layer, then paint on top, you will notice that you paint over all the detail, but dont worry, in the layer pallette there is a "blend mode" drop down box, select "multiply" from this box and you will now see the detail from underneath shows through.Hope this helpsDan.
