December 3, 200421 yr I am using a PAI paint kit for the Boeing 737-600. The aircraft comes with normal and non-DTX3 textures. I am using the non-DTX3 textures. I repainted the aircraft textures alright and then put the alpah, alpha lighting and night lighting as well as the aicraft textures in a folder named texture.de, and then edited the aircraft.cfg file the texture+ to say =de. When I tired to use the aircraft, all I got was the grey reflective model of the plane with no textures. HOW DO I MAKE IT WORK?!?!?(note:the textures were edited with Macromedia Fireworks 4 and then converted into DTX3 files and I am using FS9)Thanks.
December 5, 200421 yr The way I do it, I first convert the textures to 24 bit using image textures. Then once I paint the texture, I convert it to 32 bit. Click Open Extended Image on DXT BMP and browse to the texture, apply the alpha and save as extended image and format DXT3. Open the texture again and remove the mip maps leaving the largest value which is 0 and save as the texture with the same name.
