January 20, 200521 yr I've been optimizing the textures on my AI aircraft--DXT3 w/mips for models that support dynamic shine alphas, DXT1 w/mips for models that don't support shine--and I note that some night textures have alphas as well. Is there really any point to including alphas with night textures? Or would it be just as well to make them DXT1 also?Thanks.-- Walt
January 20, 200521 yr Hi Walt,Ok, if I remember correctly, the only reason you have alpha channels in nightmaps is to control the seperate turning on and off of the landing lights and taxi lights.Added a word doc that explains it all ;)CheersDan.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/104243.zip
