Aircraft repaint software?

Featured Replies

Hi all,I am not a photoshop user, just want to repaint a few small GA aircraft, is their a dedicated program out there fo us non photoshop people?Kiwiarcher288

Well, you could use FSRepaint from Abacus, its payware, but makes painting very easy, I swear by the demo as a viewer anyways.Other than that people mainly just use one of the main image programs, PS, PSP, Corel, the list is endless, I have also heard of people using MSpaint to paint planes ,but I would imagine that the repaints are basic using that program. There is a freeware paint program called GIMP which is supposed to be very good, you could try that.Dan.

It's cumbersome at the best of times!I installed the latest version about a week ago (Have un-installed it since) and it didn't even support zooming in and out with a mouse wheel. Having three different windows floating around your Desktop can also get a little crowded when your trying to get something out in a hurry!Rather give Pixia a try: http://park18.wakwak.com/~pixia/Regards,Stratobat

Pixia rocks, and make sure you edit the toolbar and enable the spline curve selection tool, you'll never want to be without it again!!GIMP in my opinion is pretty hard to use without a good knowledge of its thorough usage, but it's free so don't complain! :D

You won't be sorry learning to use GIMP. I beleive the license is GNU and you can use it for anything having to do with images. Website, photos et., with similiar features to photoshop from what I have read.
