Re-painting

Hi!!! Can anyone answer my question? Here it is:I'v painted an A-320, but when i select the plane in FS 2002 it's only white and there are no colours on!!!! I know that i have to use the aircraft.cfg document, but what's wrong????Keep flying out there!!!!Stefan, Denmark!!

Hi Stefan...Your problem lies within the format of your textures and not with the aircraft configuration file.I'm assuming that you have provided within the configuration file a spot for a new texture folder, the one that will support your new textures. If this is done, then you need to reformat your texture files so the FS will recognize them. When you repaint a texture using a paint tool, such as "Paint Shop Pro 7", the texture is automatically saved in 24-bit format. Flight Simulator will only recognize textures that are saved in either 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit, so you need to re-format them. The way you do that is through a utility program called "image tool". It's included in the professional edition, and can be reached using this path: C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002gmaxFlightsimgamepacksFlightSimimagetool.When you open this utility (you can create a shortcut to your desktop for convenience), click on "image", then "format". There you will find several different formats to save to. Once selected, you will then need to save the textures and then re-load them into FS.I hope this information helps you out.Regards,Kevin Sparkuhl
