No success with repainting

Featured Replies

Hi painters! There were a few moments in my long FS career when I wanted to start repainting. Once I did, it was in the times of FS8, and the repaints were for Project Airbus A320 (Condor and Finnair). However, they were made on other liveries, not on a paintkit (shame shame). Now there are two birds no-one seemingly intends to paint and I'd love to fly them. One is a LOT 737-400 for FeelThere and the other is Fischer Air Polska for PSS 757-200.Here they are, by the way:http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1082841/L/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1113900/L/I've searched through the forum (not one) to find how to paint now with modern paintkits. However, all those bitmaps, photoshop files, strips and alpha layers scare me to death. Or maybe I'm just to stupid or have too little time to bite it well enough (job, family, bla bla). Anyway, I downloaded the PSS 757 paintkit and started repainting. The tail went first. I even saved it as 32Bit bmp (used Texture Converter) but all the tail remains blank (untextured grey) when viewed inside FS9. So, I gave up the rest.I know there is no shortcut but to study and experiment. I know there are lots of tutorials. But... is anyone patient enough to give me just a few indications (in points) how to start to get any visible results? Not in general - I realize it's impossible but, say, on this example (752 PSS from the paintkit)?I got so angry with wasting my time that I belive I would like to pay someone to paint those two birds for me! ;)Best regards,Rafal

EDIT:I've just found a Fischer Air Polska repaint in the User Edits section at the PSS site. Thanks, Bonnie! Now I'll concentrate on trying to get anything out of LOT 734. :)Best regads,Rafal
