February 17, 200719 yr Does anyone use Abacus's FS Repaint and Windows Vista together? if so im having a error on start-up of FS Repaint saying error due to a .dll, Does anyone have any ideas as i used FS Repaint and Windows XP together with no problems before, im now thinking FS Repaint is only for XP and previous operating systems and maybe its not for Vista, unless anyone else uses them together now and have a way around it?Kind RegardsJason
March 4, 200719 yr Hi Jason! In case you haven`t resolved the issue, i can tell you what i did.I downloaded the dll file in question (d3drm.dll), and put it in the Windowssystem32 folder. Just do a search on the net for the dll file.regardsBj
March 13, 200719 yr Hy, I had the same problem. It would tell me that a D3DRM.dll file is missing. Here is what I did.I typed D3DRM.dll in google and got multiple websites that allow you to download this file. I downloaded the file, but none of them come with instructions. So, I decided to stick that D3DRM.dll file in the Abacus/FSRepaint folder where the program files are located. There are other .dll files there, so I figured it could do some good there. Well, the program now starts and I can select the aircraft. But then another problem popped up. As the textures are lading for the aircraft I selected, I get a message that says something about Direct.x running out of memory. I can probably post it here if someone wants to see the actual message. It gives me this messages 3 times (this is for a pmdg 737 900) and it then loads most of the textures except for some (sometimes the engines and tail textures are the ones missing). So, I have no clue how to fix this. I looked for the latest NVIDIA and Direct X drivers for VISTA on my VAIO Laptop, but there are none (I guess they aren't out yet). Plus, I'm not sure if direct x is installed in VISTA. Anyway, let me know if you get the same results as I did when you try it. Hopefuly we can get FSREpaint working properly on VISTA. Mariano
