TFS 777-200 Repaint

Featured Replies

Hi allDont know if I ghave posted this in the right place but thought it looked write. I have just downloaded the American Airlines 777-2000 repaint from The Fruit Stand. Everything is OK and the texture shows fine but it is a little transparrent so you can see through it. Does anybody know what causes this or what the problem could be. Dont have this on any of my other re paints so think I might need to change to another paint. Any help gratefully received. Thanks

This is a late reply, but I might be able to help if you haven't figured it out on your own yet. It sounds like you are using the reflective texture on the non reflective model. There is a special alpha channel built into the reflective textures that work with the reflective model to make reflections, but if you use it on the non reflective model, you end up with a ghost effect like you are seeing. Double check your 777 folder. The either the texture folder, model folder, and the entry in the aircraft.cfg files should all be reflective, or they should all be non-reflective. They have to match.Hopefully that helps. If you need any further assistance with TFS models, I encourage you to come to the TFS forum (www.the-fruit-stand.com) for help. You'll get a faster response that way.

Hi there Thanks for your reply!I checked my aircraft folder and the texture(s) and made sure that I was using the AAL reflective/non relfective texturesas appropriate. When I downloaded the aircraft both versions came with it so I have checked and installed them both. The reflective texture still seems transparent (after I have checked textures, model and aircraft.cfg) but the non reflective texture looks OK. However when you are up close to the aircraft you can still see though some areas of it. Thanks for your advice - I will head over to ythe TFS forum if I have any more questions about TFS aircraft. Thanks againNick
