March 2, 200818 yr Seems I'm a little late to the party with the HTAI Cessna single-engine prop kit for FS2004 as it's been out quite a while and their forums aren't taking new registrations, but I'm working on AI flight plans for the bush airlines out here in the Lower Kuskokwim Delta of south west Alaska and have moved on to aircraft repaints.I've completed a couple of repaints for the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan (will try posting them later as they're on my other computer), but can't for the life of me find the Cessna 206 or 207 paint kits. The HTAI website says all the paint kits are available in the file libraries here, but I've spent hours looking for them here and on other sites across the net with no look. Other people seem to have made repaints for the 206 and 207 so they must be around somewhere, maybe they're just not online anymore since it's been a few years since they were released?I'd appreciate it if anyone could point me in the direction of the layered PSD paint kits for the Cessna 206 and 207, or anyone interested in flying the bleakness of south west Alaska! Might not be as pretty as flying around Misty/Tongass Fjords, but it certainly tests your flying skills in bad weather - head to Bethel (PABE) and check out some of the outlying villages in the delta!
March 3, 200818 yr AFAIK, the HTAI C-206 is payware and one could presume this purchase would include access to the paintkit.Having said that, you are definitely flying the correct part of the world (South-Fork Kuskokwim R.):"Lower Kuskokwim Delta of south west Alaska"This is the track for the 2008 Iditarod Sled Dog Race] which started outta Anchorage on Saturday (with obligatory restart in Willow, AK, yesterday). Today is officially Day-3 of the Last Great Race[/b.Good Luck finding the paintkithttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185908.jpg
March 3, 200818 yr I actually just received an e-mail from Henry with links to the paintkits if anyone else is looking for them. Searching for 'HTAI paintkits' and assorted variations in the library brings back no results, but sure enough they're there!---The paintkits are hosted at AVSIM are as follows:Photoshop:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...acrp&DLID=76902Paint Shop Pro 8 and higher:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...acrp&DLID=76903Paint Shop Pro 7:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...acrp&DLID=76974Single Layer 32-bit Versions of the included textures:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...acrp&DLID=77000---The HTAI model set is payware (around $15, but worth it for the sheer number of AI models!), but the paintkits are not and repaints can be produced and shared. I'll upload the AI flight plans and models when I'm done. The Iditarod trail is a little north of here - the Kuskokwim River is 2nd longest only to the Yukon, so the Iditarod trail crossing the Kuskokwim is waaaaayyy up river from here! We do have the Kuskokwim 300 based out of Bethel (40 miles north of here) which is regarded as the next big race after the Iditarod. Next year I'm hoping to get out to see the start of the Iditarod as it seems fantastic following the news reports on local TV. There's a package in the library here on AVSIM that includes the bush strips where the food drops for the Iditarod take place and include maps for flying it - well recommended!
March 4, 200818 yr Thanks for posting the information received from Henry." . . . but the paintkits are not and repaints can be produced and shared"I think it would be quit a challenge to repaint from a paintkit without a model to view it on. I see the paintkit downloads are .EXE files and probably need the installed HTAI models. As noted, Henry's planes are a good buy for those wanting them. It sounds like you're all-over-it!
