Texture Problem - Please help!

Featured Replies

I had this problem in the past but never solved it. I edited one side of this aircraft and followed the directions of DXTBMP. For some reason, it looks unequal:untitled-4.jpgDoes anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

What edit did you do?It looks like the alpha channel may be missing Only guessing at the moment Can you tell us exactly what you did ?Mark

I downloaded the Air Tahiti Nui textures from Wilco's website. On one side, the flower was overlapping.I carefully edited the texture in default "paint"After saving, I opened the newly edited image in DXTBMP and saved it as and extended bitmap. I then replaced the old texture with the new one.

If you edited and saved in paint and then converted with dxtbmp then you have possibly lost any alpha channel that was with the original Best thing to do is to re load the originals then 1. start dxtbmp and select the texture you want to edit and click on send to the editor You may have to set paint as the editor in dxtbmp2.Once the texture is open in paint , edit away ( it should have renamed itself as Norm)3.after edit in paint select save then go back to dxtbmp and click on refresh after edit , then save (im guessing extended 32 bit ) OR if you still have the original folder download ,find the texture that you want to edit and open with dxtbmp then copy the alpha channel from that to your edited texture Hope this makes sense , if not please post backMark
