July 26, 200520 yr Hi,I don't know if I'm allowed to do this, mods please feel free to delete if it is out of line... Uhm, I'm looking for 1 or 2 developers to assist in writing a module for FS9.Obviously, I cannot disclose to much information on a public forum of what this is about and what not, I'd be happy to discuss the software and goals privately with interested developers however. The application will be a online / internet based module, any interested developers must be VERY familiar with HTTP XML Post procedures to send requests to web servers, AND be able to manage the return (error or not). Appart from that, the FS9 part of the module should be fairly straight forward. A small little menu to enter a username + password and maybe one or two other variables. Then, it's a simple matter of posting everything that happens in the cockpit to a web server. The rest is handled by our servers.Renumeration will either be a once-off payment for development, or a profit sharing scheme, depending on how I decide to market it. Again, I will discuss privately with interested developers. We've been testing our system on VATSIM (with permission) now for close to 6 months, and build up a database of flight logs well over 3GB in size. The problem is that updating from VATSIM is not quick enough, as there are often gaps of up to 10 minutes between updates on a specific flight. We want to receive information from the cockpits as often and frequently as possible - even stream it to the server if it can be done in a managable way. Thanks, and again, sorry if I'm not allowed to do this. I can't see a possible problem with doing it though, so I'm hopefull :)--Chris.
