FS Library Scan

Featured Replies

Hi All,I was advised that my utility FSLibScan.exe published in the AVSIM library on Monday may falsely report missing textures. As far as I am aware up to now this is the case if...1) ...the main scan path is not the FS application path - this will not find textures in the FS main texture folder.2) ...one of the scanned scenery folder names contains capital letters, e.g. "...Scenery..."3) ...a scenery path contains the item "scenery" more than once - e.g. "Addon ScenerysceneryLibraryscenery". FSLibScan will then expect texture files in "...Addon Scenerytexture". As I do not have so much time right now to upload a fix to AVSIM, for the meantime, I suggest the following work-arounds:1) Use scanning only with the FS application path.2) Make sure that all your scenery folder names are lower case (just the last "scenery" part itself, for the rest capitals are OK).3) Move all the subfolders of your "Addon sceneryscenery" folder (temporarily) one level up to "Addon scenery".If you find more errors feel free to comment here in the forum or contact me by e-mail. But don't expect a fix for it within no time as I have some other work to do, and then, I am still struggling to get my FSX installation running properly...Michael
