I'm using FS2002 Standard. When I try to select the plane, MS says it can't load a coupleof Gauge files.I removed those Files form the Gauges folder, and then MS justlocks up when I try to select the plane this time.Also... While I'm here, a number of planes I've DL'ed haveDulled virtual cockpit canopy's.Is there any way to get these back to normal view texture.I'd rather view MS scenery in all its glory than througha washed out canopy cover.

Removing the files only complicates the problem: the sim is now looking for guages which are missing!! Those instructions are in the panel.cfg file. Thus, if you're removing the files, you'll need to also remove the instructions. This means editing the panel.cfg file itself. To edit, you can use "Wordpad" for instance. Having said that though, you still may not be out of the woods....trial and error. As for the canopy situation: this is likely an inability, for whatever reason, of the sim to "read" those particular texture files [*.bmp]. I'm sure that you are aware that there's a reason why aircraft, and their associated folders, are FS Edition-specific; that is, a/c designed for FS2002 Pro are _not_ functional in FS2002 Standard.
