AN24-RV crashing with new dynamics

Featured Replies

CRASH, CRASH, CRASH!!!Guys! I realy carefuly learn and study this plane, but in practice I can not use it. I crashed 3 times in 5 minutes on VATSIM today. On ground! If Dynamic weather loads, or if I taxi onto the grass (but sometimes on taxiway) the plane starts acrobatic movements, dances, jumps in to the air. If Detect crashes is set in Realism Settings it will not happen as the plane will crash within 5 seconds after starts dancing. It happens on the default sceneries also. This is going on since I use the new dynamics from version 1.3. It never happened with the original dynamics. I have the feeling that it is something about the contact_points section wheel parameters, but I am not sure. Does it mean anything if I change these values in aircraft.cfg, or is it loaded from the .air file?I have W2k and FS2004.PLEEEASE HEEEELP!!! Gabor

I made some tests. I removed the complete [contact_points] section and reloaded the plane. If you do this, it will re-create the section from the air file. It is not creating the point.n items (I do no know why, but it is not doing it for the default Cessna 172P either), but it re-creates the following items:static_pitch = 0.00static_cg_height = 0.00I think this is wrong. For the Cessna at least these items contain some reasonable values.I made the same test with the original AN24-RV dynamics. It re-created the complete section even the point.n items. The plane was floating above the ground by some half meters, but otherwise it was OK. pitch and cg_height values were reasonable.I do not know anything about the air file, but I think something is wrong or missing in the section that describes contact points and center of gravity height.I am very much interested whether some others experience the same problem or not. I am using Win2K Hungarian with Hugarian Regional settings (but decimal sign is modified to dot), FS2004.Gabor
