January 25, 200323 yr Hi,Is it possible to install FS2002 but onto another drive? So I have a dirty version with lots of addons on C drive say and a clean version with say one addon on my other hard drive? Is this possible, will Flightsim fun any faster and is there anychance of it going wrong? Many Thanks,
January 25, 200323 yr Not on the same computer. You could copy a clean installation to somewhere else, but you probably wouldn't be able to use it without editing the registry (FS makes registry entries).
January 25, 200323 yr Install FS2002 and then MOVE this complete directory to your second drive. Copy the file FS2002.exe and paste it as a shortcut on your desktop calling it "FS2002 on D" or something similar. The registry will not reflect this move, but FS will still work as normal.Next reinstall FS2002 on your c: drive and this version will be refelected in the registry. As many add-on products will look for FS in the registry, the version on your c: drive will thus be the 'dirty' one.Hope this will help.
