Went over to the VIA forums and found this bit of info.VIA based boards have a problem with what is known as PCI latency, and there is a patch,known as the PCI Latency Patch...http://www.tecchannel.de/hardware/817/8.htmlI will be trying it tonight or tomorrow night.Tony in Miami

Chris,You really need to disable the on-board sound in the bios. The on-board audio may have an interrupt conflict with something else in your system.Rick
