Dark avionics at startup

I recently purchased the Dash 8 and the A340. In the Dash 8 I usually prefer to fly the Q300 version, but when I select that plane and start up, the "glass Panels" are always dark, as if the "avionics" switch is off. When I select the regular 300, start up, then go back and switch to the Q300 aircraft, the panels work fine.Excuse me if this is an old problem but I'm new to this forum. Would appreciate any help.Thanks,Emilio
