January 29, 200323 yr Thanks for the reply Boyd...I'll remeber the transponder #'s......But about the ATC call though:I've flown Flight Unlimited 3 before I went over to Fs2k2. It had a neat feature. When you had mechanical troubles with your aircraft, you pressed key 'G'.. This would cause your pilot voice to send:'Mayday. Mayday. Emergency aircraft I have lost my enigne'....Tower then replies:' we copy Emergency aircraft. Attention all aircraft ' And then tower would procced to give you vectors for an emergency landing at the given airport....Can something similar be done in Fs2k2??Cheers//Tonni
January 29, 200323 yr I have a sneaky feeling that FS2004 may have a mayday feature. The ATC in FS2002 is very much a work in progress and has plenty of scope for development in future versions. Bring it on!
January 29, 200323 yr >> what is correct emergency landing procedure when you're unable to communicate with tower??Set your x-pndr & carry out the last set of instructions given to you via ATC. Approach the field & fly the plate to the letter. You'd be supprised how fast ATC moves stuff out of your way!You wanna practise emergencies....get Radar Contact!
