A330 autopilot

Why during autopilot selected i pull the hdg button or the speed button and for example i change the hdg in 30 degrees , ...and nothing occurs, but the button return itself to managed mode !!How its the way to pass from the managed modes in the speed or hdg to manual modes ? Perhaps may i deselected first the autopilot butoon and then changed the speed or course desired?Its very important to intercept radials , to fly the departures or arrivals of the airports, etc...

Hello, -a LEFT CLICK on the HDG/SPD button will engage MANAGED mode(pushing the knob on the real a/p)-a RIGHT CLICK will engage SELECTED mode(pulling the knob on the real a/p)Hope this will help you.Best regardsRapha
