Problem with a330 autothrottle and autopilot

I have a problem with the a330 autopilot and throttle. When I am descending into my arrival airport, around 10000 feet agl, the autopilot altitude control does not work, the airplane does not descend. Also the autothrottle does not wrok, it makes the airplane accelerate to 320 knts?? what the heck is going on? this only occurs with the a330.
