Do any airlines fly into Rockford (RFD) anymore. I know Skyway use to back in the mid 90's. I can't find anywhere that says airlines operate in and out of it. Did it just fade into the background with ORD, MDW, MSN an MKE taking over airline traffic for this region.

hey, Home sweet home... well next door anyway. UPS has totally taken it over. Thats all I see coming and going anymore. They really put a strangle hold on that airport. The Rockford economy is fairing worse than the rest of the state, so they pretty much gave UPS the run of the joint. Used to be United and a few other majors would fly short hops out of KRFD, but seems like every month over the past few years, I hear a news brief of another carrier ending service out of Rockford. UPS and privates thats all I notice. Im sure the city is making a mint off UPS, but in my mind it will go down in history as the biggest mistake they ever made. IMOso is the world I guess...joe
