January 31, 200323 yr The 'why' is that in 32 bit mode you use 4 bits of data, and the magic is that it is a multiple of 2 (two)When using 24 bit, you are using 3 bits ..and that is not 'tweaked.Even though your graphics card uses more memory to render the desktop or programs, etc, (most have more than plenty) in 32 bit mode, the video performance will be faster as running a multiple of 2 bits is native to the system.Anything to tweak our flight decks for smoother sky....:------------------------------------------------------------------Further information on this subject over at the SANDRA site.Thought that I'd pass it on.Cheers!Mitch R>
