Standalone DME panel

Recommended Posts

Guest JTWhite

I have started using the GoFlight radio and pushbutton panels and was wondering...I no longer need to display the radio stack in FS, which is pretty cool (the GoFlight stuff is really worth the money); however, there is no way to get the panels to display the DME information.Does anyone out there have a suggestion as to how I might get ahold of a stand-alone DME panel??Thanks in advanceJohn W.newburgh

I have the full complement of GoFlight gear in the floor console, all working great! What I have done is to remove the radio stack from the panel.cfg files of some of my aircraft; no sense having unneeded stuff there (radios and all still work fine even without any gauges mentioned in the .cfg file). The default Cessna 185 has a stand alone DME gauge on its panel which can be placed on other panels, either by editing the panel.cfg with Notepad or, better yet, using FS Panel Studio (a payware product at www.fspanelstudio.com). By your post, I assume you mean to have a hardware DME; I don't know of any but you might email GoFlight. They are receptive to new ideas and may already have something in the works. Hope this post is of some help.nutmeat
