Reverse Pitch Props

Recommended Posts

Guest iFLYrc

I fly a Saab 340 and have problems stopping on landings. I have adjusted the brake efficiency to the limit of realism. Any more would be unrealistic. How can I envoke prop ptch reversal. The F2 key does not seem to work?Thankshttp://iflyrc.hypermart.net/Temp/Signature.jpgI'd Rather Be Flyin'

The F2 key works just fine IF you have your throttle properly calibrated for the idle position to remove the polling spikes it gets from FS. These spikes makes the sim think that the throttle is NOT at idle, even with the throttle controller pulled all the way to the rear.Calibrate in FSUIPC (if you don't know what that is, go to schiratti.com, Peter Dowson's page, download, then read the instructions for install and use) leaving a small amount of travel on the control when you set the idle position. Then, when you pull the control all the way back, you will have true idle. At that point, F2 (have it set to repeat) will give you reverse thrust and F1 will put you back to idle. Works just fine for me with the KA350. HTHPaul
