scrolling cockpits?

Featured Replies

Hi - I bought the "Professional Edition" of 2K2 just about as soon as it came out, but never really got "into" it much at that time. But it's been out a long time now and there are a huge number of addons, so I figured maybe I should reinstall it and see what things are like these days.Question: I was not too happy with the builtin planes or PD ones available in the early days, since it seemed that much of the cockpit was unavailable or nonfunctional. I really missed the little touches, like the annunciator test button working, or cabin climb rate thing, or functioning GPSs I could interact with like the real lines, etc. I imagine things are better now judging from what I've seen in the screenshot forums. Are there add on planes available now that can allow one to access the entire cockpit functionality? I really like the Fly style scrolling cockpits, but I'd be happy without scrolling as long as I could get "over there" somehow to see the entire panel - e.g, with the hat switch, or buttons, or whatever else. Biggest thing I guess I want are realistic panels where everything works (as far as possible in a sim anyway).Any particular recommendations for me to look at? I'd like to start with PD planes I think, but I'm not adverse to eventually buying commercial planes if I end up getting into the sim. Thanks!
