VOXATC - FS 2004 - Vista - Compatible???

Sorry to be a pain, but can anyone tell me if I can use VOXATC, in FS 2004, running Vista? I KNOW that FS 2004 runs fine under Vista, but as soon as I attempt to open VOXATC, I get a message indicating that the program has closed. I also get a prompt for "speech recognition". I have already configured the microphone. I'm really at my wits end. This new computer runs FSX fine, but I am still having trouble with the VOXATC X program, so I figured I would reload FS 2004 (which I did), update it to 9.1, install VOXATC for fs 2004, and I'd be happy as a kid at Christmas. No such luck. I have completely spent 2 days and gotten no where. Please, can I use the original vaxatc, in fs 9 running under vista.
