Does anyone use WideFS over a LAN and if so do you have any advise/tips for a newbie? I want to run FSNAV on a laptop while flying on my PC, is that possible? I try to install FSNAV on the laptop and it can't find FS2002 directory.

HiFSNav is a dll and won`t run outside of Flight Sim.You can however undock it and run it on another monitor on the same system.
