Get the runway you want without layering

Using default everything and AFCAD version 1.3 you now can get the runway you want. Just in case this hasn't been covered or people like me who hate to have to redo and add layers, scenery and what not with AFCAD version 1.3 you know can do it very simple. Prior to the flight findout what the weather will be like for your departure and arrival airports then determine what runway you would like to have open for landing and what runway you want open for take-offs. Since ATC still won't provide seperation the only thing your gaining is rapid take-off in the event you have a lot of AI traffic with extended flight plans with extra gates at that airport. Once you have determined the actives then open up AFCAD and click on each runway and use the "closed for takeoffs" and "closed for landings" feature and just do alittle airport managing. Save and close and then start your flight. If anything you can now get to use more of the airport than normal and design the field so that you don't have to taxi so far.Food for thought.Kilstorm
