I patched a .dll file and was told to boot up xp in safe mode to replace the file.This is FS related as the file will make the lod bias work properly in FS, once I tweak it in Riva Tuner.Anyone? sorry if this a lame-oh question.With Win2k, it was simply hitting the F8 key.

Not a lame question at all!It's the same.. the F8 key but anytime I've used it I've found the timing seems to be important... press it too early and it gets ignored.. press it too late and you're in full XP before you know it.
