EasyConnect and FlightInstructor

Featured Replies

I am finishing Computer Science graduation at Federal University of Pernambuco, in Brazil. My graduation project is related to FSX and SimConnect.I am developing EasyConnect and FlightInstuctor. EasyConnect is an abstraction layer to C# SimConnect API, which aims to make it easier to use. It offers methods like the following to the programmer:ec.throttleLever.SetVar(80);ec.nav1Frequency.KeySet(110.30);double d = ec.engManifoldPressure.GetVar();bool b = ec.apMasterSwitch.GetVar();FlightInstructor is virtual flight instructor focused on IFR learning process. It is composed of ProcedurePerformer and FlightAnalyzer modules. FlightInstructor uses EasyConnect to communicate with FSX.ProcedurePerformer is the module responsible for the execution of SID, STAR and IAP procedures, showing to the student through its interface all the steps performed. The aircrafts and procedures available on FlightInstructor are stored as script files.FlightAnalyzer is the one responsible for the analysis of the procedures executed by the student, giving him feedback about the execution. In the current stage of development, EasyConnect only offers the methods demanded by ProcedurePerformer, which is already executing most VOR and ILS based procedures. The development of FlightAnalyzer will start after the conclusion of ProcedurePerformer.Suggestions are welcome.Kind regardsRodrigo
