MSX: Heading and VSI Bugs.... Is There A "Bug"n in MSX?

It is a general setting, but I'm working with a Beechcraft King Air 350 in this case.While the bugs will move if you stop what you are doing and mouse click on them this is not particularly satisfactory. The "Settings" section of X provides a given keyboard command (not much better) AND the ability to assign the Heading and/or VSI bug control to a button.....Neither the keyboard system not the setting it to a button on either a CH Yoke or a CH Throttle Quad works.Is there a way around this.
