No voice & ATC in the missions

Featured Replies

I have absolutely no voice commands coming from the FO or ATC on any of the missions. I have to pull up the kneeboard just to see what everyone is saying, I've tried the Amsterdam to London mission, the Quito Ecuador approach, etc. and none of them have any voice. The only voice I get are from the following missions: the very first one with the ultralight (I was just trying it out to see if it had voice) and that mission where you race the jet truck at Oshkosh but all I hear is the announcer; In the briefing it says that a stunt coordinator or someone like that is supposed to talk to you but all I hear is the announcer of the air show.A few months ago I downloaded the trial version of FSX and flew the Caribbean mission were you fly the CRJ-700 into St. Maarten and had full ATC and fully functional FO. What is going on with the retail version of FSX Deluxe? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks,BrandonPS I am running Vista on a brand new machine with 4 GB of ram and a nvidia geforce 7900 GS video card.

Never mind, I figured it out. FSX did not like the Vista audio setting, I had to change Vista's output to simple surround sound. For some reason FSX does not like Dolby Digital 5.1, Go figure.
