Duplicte Addon Scenery Texture Files

Featured Replies

Duplicate TexturesI know that this has been answered in the forum or atutorial before, But i'm dammed if I can find it, so I am just confirming my understanding.Any help from you scenery experts would be much appreciated1. I have many Airports in my Addon Scenery Folder which contain many duplicate texture files. I understand that I can remove any duplicate textures providing they are the same file size, and a copy of the file is contained in one of the Texture folders belowFS9/TextureAddon Scenery/TextureAddon Scenery/EZ Scenery/Library/TextureAddon Scenery/Static Objects Library/TextureAddon Scenery /Lens EZ Animated/TextureAddon Scenery /Lens EZ Scenery/Texture2. I have noticed that there are some textures files with the same name but are a smaller file size, presumably this reduction in texture quality is to help preserve frame rates. Providing the BMP is the same texture, Is it OK to delete these files so the better quality texture is used which is contained in one of the folders listed above.3. If the same texture folder appears in a number of Airport texture folders, is it possible to copy the texture to the main Addon Scenery Texture so all the Airports can use it, then delete the duplicate individual texture files in the Airport folders.4. I presume if I delete a texture file accidentally it will appear as a white area when the airport is loaded in FS9.ThanksTony Hallam
