November 16, 200619 yr Hi, I'm here to find out how I can create an experimental aircraft for FS2004, by either modifying an existing model or creating from scratch. Clearly I am a noob and have only messed with changing skins and sounds. Basically I want an aircraft that flies like a rotary wing but with the maximum performance obtainable in FS. I'm going for UFO technology here, something ridiculously crazy to fly. After looking around in the aircraft folder I found a spreadsheet that carries the values of the aircraft. I change some values in the [TurbineEngineData], but as soon as I loaded the aircraft it repeated crashing at the gate. I changed the values using Excel, clearly another program is required that carries additional information with the file. What software would I need to edit this? Is this the correct approach to obtain my goal? Just change these values? Surely there will be a lot of trial and error but I will very much enjoy learning this way. Thanks in advance for any useful info.
November 16, 200619 yr Hello Vegas, for rotary wing you need the helicopter type selected:Search for hovercontrol in AVSIM for a link to help.Never use FSEdit as it is broken. Use AAM or AirEdit or AirUpDate.http://perso.wanadoo.fr/hsors/FS_Soft/index.htmlfor editorshttp://perso.wanadoo.fr/hsors/FS_Soft/fsairfile.htmlfor forum supporthttp://www.avhistory.org/scripts/MegaBBS/f...w.asp?forumid=5Ian
