February 28, 200323 yr Still fighting a stuttering problem within FS-ATC (only). About to remove FS2002 and reinstall for 2nd time. Stupid question, but since my stutter problem is with ATC files only (both pilot & controller .wav's) I thought it best to dbl. check that these files were in-fact removed, before the reinstall. So into MS Games / Flight Sim / etc. .... and I cannot locate all the .wav files for ATC ?? Found all the "lesson" files, but where are the ATC files stored ??Thanks for direction - sorry if too elementary a question.......Ron
February 28, 200323 yr Believe FSATC sounds are in the files with .gvp extension in your Sound folder. Appears you have a driver problem with your sound card. Try deleting your FS2002.cfg file in your main FS2K2 folder and restarting the sim. Your config file will be rebuilt. That usually solves a lot of problems. But if you completely uninstalled FS2K2 and reinstalled already, then it must be your sound card. Good luck!Jim
February 28, 200323 yr Thanks Jim !Agree - spent 2-days ensuring drivers all updated - and checked (sys.info.) that new drivers are being used. May well be the SBLValue card.......I'll try your suggestions. Thanks,Ron
February 28, 200323 yr I got rid of the problem by upgrading to a 8mb cache HD since it speeds the rate at which info is read from the HD.Robb
March 1, 200323 yr Jim, Thank you. Deleting the FS2002.cfg file seems to have done the trick for me. You just saved me hours of reloading FS. Guess now I don't have any excuse to not go work on my taxes!!Mike
