Preflight starting with dark and cold A/C

Featured Replies

I've come across a few add-on planes that start cold and dark. I was curious to find a way to apply that to defaut aircraft. It's quite a bit more realistic, then starting sitting in the cockpit with the engine fired up.Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like -M.Twain

Load the default Cessna 172. Turn off the engine and turn off all the avionics until nothing is running at all (its cold and dark). Save this as the Default Flight. Exit FS9 and then re-start it, all the other defualt planes should now be cold and dark.

Thanks, I didn't think it would be that complicated. I think I saw that in one of the "Tips & Tricks", but one forgets after several HD crashes and FS reinstalls.Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like -M.Twain
