IAS Airspeed Hold won't lock on

On one of my aircraft I set the autothrottle which engages fine, but the "IAS" airspeed hold won't engage. I can click on the button and it flashes on for a second then goes off and I'm on my own with the airspeed. Any idea?

Which aircraft? Does it actually have a speed-capable autopilot? Many don't, not even quite sophisticated airliners.Allcott

It was the A300-600 from Simmer's sky but after I sent the message, it started working. Now I feel dorky. Not sure what it was. Maybe something I did. Sorry 'bout that.
