Filename for FS2004 low visibility/fog/haze?

Featured Replies

Hey, I want to revert the fog/haze/low visibility layer I got back to default due to it looking incredibly out of place (its basically a very dark blue) Do you guys know what the filename is so I can change it back? Do you know of any good freeware haze/fog textures? Thanks in advance!

"Do you know of any good freeware haze/fog textures?"My Soft Horizons add-on, now hosted at Flightsim.com, uses the default sky textures and serves the purpose of adding a more natural look to fog, haze and overall visibility at any distance. However since the sky bitmaps are used by a variety of sky enhancement sets, you may overwrite another set if you have one installed. Regards,John

I'm afraid that stratus1.bmp doesn't exist in the FS9 texture file, I tried changing all the stratus textures but the annoying colour of the haze is still there

Again you might want to take note of my post regarding Soft Horizons, or send me a PM with your email address and I can forward you the latest update. I believe you'll find fog/haze much more natural.regards,John

I'll give it a try but I did purchase RealSkyV3 by Sandon Lyon so it'll completely erase the nice sky textures I had with that add-on. If it doesn't solve it then I'll just go back to RealSky and live in clear skies forever :(

As it turns out, the soft horizons has solved the problem, I guess the haze texture is tied into the sky textures!
