Does anyone know how to increase braking power for aircraft in FS2004.

Yes - open the aircraft cfg & look for a section entitled "brakes" then look for "toe_brakes_scale =" which will include a number. Experiment by increasing this value until you get to a value that does what you want. Say the default is 1.0 - you could increase to 1.25 & then play around until it's right.
