I'm building my own system and upon doing some research, I have found graphics cards that are described like this: "Easy Plug-and-Play AUTORUN installation from CD-ROM, supporting 8X, 4X, and 2X AGP." As described above, this AGP 8X capable video card will run in a 4X AGP slot. All these AGP 8X cards are backwards compatible down to 2X AGP slots.
