crashing FS need HELP and INPUT!!!

So, for about a year now, I have gone thru EVERY freakin option as to WHY my FS2004 is crashing. I have updated it, updated video cards, updated drivers, system restores, (I have NO viruses etc...) bought a new sound card, swicthed RAM sticks, I have done everything possible. When my FS crashes, it does it automatically, mostly when I switch views. and it wont crash to Desktop, it restarts my entire machine. No errors come up, nothing. I have even upgraded my PSU to handle more power. I havent been able to play at all, and I have 1 question as to why it could be crashing. Could a scratch on the CD be causing this?I looked at the underside of thr CD and it is banged up, after having it for 4 years and playing it nearly everyday for that time.What do you guys think?--Keep in mind that I play Counter-strike, and TFC with No problem what-so-ever!Specs: Acer 2.80GHz Pen.
