April 2, 200818 yr I know this is a minor question but helps me achieve a sense of realism while I am flying around.I fly around the Pacific-Northwest and use FSG's 38.2 mesh for the area. I have Ultimate Terrain and BEV.I noticed that my smokestacks work, but the smoke is down even with the middle of the smokestack so obviously, you cannot see it.I fly a lot of GA VFR and would like to see that smoke!Does anyone know what I need to do to move the smoke effects up so that they appear in the correct place? I have searched through this forum but have not seen anything about this.I appreciate if anyone has any ideas that would help.
April 2, 200818 yr I use ron_ez_effects with EZ-Scenery and the smoke effects work real good and lasts a long time. I do not know where it's available for d/l now.
April 2, 200818 yr Ha! I fixed it.I opened two files in my FS9/Effects folder:fx_SmokeStack.fx and fx_SmokeStack2.fxand edited this section:(Emitter.0)Lifetime=600.00, 900.00Delay=0.00, 0.00Bounce=0.00Rate=20.00, 30.00X Emitter Velocity=0.00, 0.00Y Emitter Velocity=0.00, 0.00Z Emitter Velocity=0.00, 0.00Drag=0.00, 0.00X Particle Velocity=-2.00, 2.00Y Particle Velocity=10.00, 20.00Z Particle Velocity=-2.00, 2.00X Rotation=0.00, 0.00Y Rotation=0.00, 0.00Z Rotation=0.00, 0.00X Offset=0.00, 0.00------> Changed this from 0.00, 0.00 to: Y Offset=2.00, 2.00Z Offset=0.00, 0.00Pitch=0.00, 0.00Bank=0.00, 0.00Heading=0.00, 0.00It works like a champ now.
