concerning voicepack

Featured Replies

i have what seems like a gazillion PAI airlines installed and one of them is Chicago express (ata connection).there's a little issue that comes up while i'm listening to the ATC at Midway and it only occurs with one ATC female voice.instead of using the "windy city" call sign, she calls it "westjet". i have the newest version of voicepack and updated everything so what is the deal? i have thought of going to Vancouver to see if she calls Westjet "windy city" ;) one lady says it and that's all!!!

You might want to ask Lars in his EditVoice Pack forum in ProjectAI, you might get a quicker reply :-wave---Banners? We don't need no stinkin' banners!---Visualize PAI sig banner here.

I think it is a MSFS problem, I'd be willing to bet that if you go into editvoicepack as if you were to make a callsign from scratch. the offending voice if "Wes Jet"is selected she will say "Windy City" I have seen this a few times. Since both of the mentioned callsigns are default, to fix you will have to create two new ones the easiest way would be just to name them something different. For example to get ATC to say "West Jet" it is spell with a space between West & Jet just make it one word "Westjet" that way you know which one is the good one. Same for "Windy City" Just make it one word. Don't know of a easy way to remove default callsidgns.:-outtahttp://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/Us...43942b48d2b.jpg

Actually you should have followed Franks advice, then I would indeed have answered faster. :)EditVoicepack does support overriding existing callsigns (this is what "Force Variation" is used for). There are a number of errors in the voicepack. So far, EditVoicepack corrects a bit more than 20 errors of this type.A correction for Windy City is already included in EditVoicepack's automated updates, so I am a bit surprised you still have the problem. Please check that you have not disabled the fix (you should have a green checkmark next to the node "Standard Notifications/Callsigns/Error Corrections/WINDY CITY". Please see the readme file to understand how the checkmarks works (hint: a gray boxe means it's inharited from the parent node). If you still have problems, drop a posting over on the EditVoicepack forum on www.projectai.com, or post here and hope I happen to wonder by again. :)/Lars
