I was wondering if anyone can give me any info on the last flight of Delta's last 727. I believe is scheudled to happen in April. I was planning to see if I could get a ticket for this flight. Can anyone give me any info on it. Thanks alot,Tadd Garcia

I'm not sure either, but that will be a sad day. With the L-1011s all gone and the MD11s about to go, all we are going to see soon are the twin jets at Delta. We are losing the variation.

Might be loosing variation but it will severly cut operating cost for Delta. By getting rid of all their tri-jets (MD-11, 727 and L-1011) and replacing them with twins, they will be cutting their fuel cost and operating cost by 1/3. Also training will probably be able to be streamlined for pilots cause all they'll have to deal with are two engines, no matter what they fly.
